MEXICO CITY --Coffee exports from Colombia, Mexico, Peru, the Dominican Republic and Central America in the now completed 2007-08 crop cycle ended up 3.7% at 29.278 million 60-kilogram bags.
The final figures, for which a detailed breakdown was released Wednesday, were in line with official forecasts for a slightly higher output from the group of countries, with lower production in some coffee nations offset by higher output elsewhere in the region.
The following table details coffee exports from the nine countries, which represent between 85% and 90% of total washed arabica exports from Latin America, and between 75% and 80% of total washed arabica exports worldwide.
All figures are in 60-kilogram bags. The figures were compiled and published by Guatemala's National Coffee Association, Anacafe.
