INTERVIEW-Germany's Phoenix Solar eyes partner in China
Published: 19 Nov 2009 00:03:43 PSTSINGAPORE, Nov 19 - Phoenix Solar AG <PS4G.DE>, one of Europe's largest solar power developers, is in talks to form a partnership with a Chinese company to push its business in China, said a company executive.
"We're currently in discussions with a potential partner," said Christophe Inglin, Phoenix Solar managing director for Asia Pacific, without giving details.
He said the German company also planned to open an office in Malaysia if the government there decided to offer incentives for solar energy investments.
Malaysia recently announced a plan to implement a feed-in tariff, like Germany, to enable users to invest in solar systems and sell excess power to the grid.
