ANKARA, July 12 - Turkey gained access to European gas stockpiles under the Nabucco pipeline, which will be built so that gas can flow in an west-east direction in addition to east-west, Energy Minister Taner Yildiz told Reuters.
The minister said Turkey abondoned its demand for buying 15 percent of Nabucco gas, but it would have a right to take a share from 15 billion cubic metres, or half of the gas flowing through the Nabucco.
A raft of transit agreements will be signed in Ankara on Monday by the architects of the European Union and U.S.-backed Nabucco pipeline.
