BEIJING, July 2 - China's crude oil stocks gained a marginal 0.4 percent from a month earlier to 38.75 million tonnes or 283 million barrels at the end of May, a newsletter by the official Xinhua said.
Gasoline inventories held by CNPC and Sinopec Group, the country's dominant suppliers, were at 22 million barrels at the end of May, flat from a month earlier.
Meanwhile, diesel stocks fell 11.4 percent from a month earlier to 35 million barrels at the end of May, the report said. (Reporting by Tom Miles and Jim Bai; Editing by Chris Lewis)
