TEHRAN, June 3 - Iran is to sign a contract on Wednesday with China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) for the developent of phase 11 of the South Pars gas field in the Gulf, replacing France's Total, the official IRNA news agency reported.
It said the contract would be signed in Beijing.
"Signing of the cooperation contract between Iran and China for the development of South Pars phase 11 will take place as (CNPC) has replaced the French company Total in this project," IRNA said, without giving a source.
