Arc-resistant motor controllers for safe working environment

Rockwell Automation recently introduced Allen-Bradley Centerline ArcShield medium voltage arc-resistant motor controllers. It is especially designed for industries that functions in harsh and extreme environments. These controllers redirect arc-flash energy through relief vents at the top of the unit and away from personnel through an overhead space and heavy-gauge steel enclosures. These also offer protection, even while the low-voltage door is open for maintenance.

The equipment has passed a testing that certifies that if an arc flash occurs, each part of it remains intact and the arc does not burn any holes in the exterior of the tested structure.
