Several overseas producers report that they have announced their December LLDPE film offers to the Chinese market this week with increases when compared with their most recent November offer levels. A global producer reported that they announced their December offers for Singaporean LLDPE film this week at $1320/ton CFR China, an increase of $50-60/ton when compared with November. The producer pointed to their limited availability along with bullish market sentiment as support for their price increase targets, adding that they have already managed to conclude some deals at their new price level.
Meanwhile, a South Korean producer, who was absent from the market last week, announced their December LLDPE film offers at $1350/ton CFR China, a significant increase when compared with their most recent done deal levels from the beginning of this month. The producer attributed their price hike to increasing prices in the domestic market as well as firm sentiment on the part of traders; although they added that their new offers have not met with much buying interest yet.
