A distributor said that they are offering domestic and locally-held homo-PP cargoes at prices $10-20/ton below producers’ price levels for homo-PP injection and raffia and $40/ton below the producers’ price levels for PP film. The distributor pointed to poor demand as the reason for their price reduction, adding that demand for PP is doing worse than demand for PE these days.
