A Thai producer reported that they decided to step back from their initial November offers for homo-PP as they found demand to be unsatisfactory at their initial offer levels. The producer commented that trading activities are sluggish these days as most buyers are minimizing their purchases ahead of the implementation of the ASEAN free trade agreement in January of next year.
The producer lowered their November offers by $10-50/ton for PP raffia and by $20-30/ton for PP film, although their November offers remain higher than their October price levels by $30/ton on the low end for PP raffia and by $10-30/ton for PP film. The producer's current November offers stand at $1130-1140/ton CIF SEA, cash for PP raffia and at $1180-1200/ton with the same terms for PP film, with the producer stating that they have already concluded some deals for PP film at their new price levels.
