A buyer was offered Middle Eastern LLDPE c4 film ex-warehouse Shanghai, China, cash inc 6.5% customs duty and VAT at CNY11300-11400/ton ($1415-1427/ton without VAT)

A buyer was offered South Korean HDPE film ex-warehouse Shanghai, China, cash inc 6.0% customs duty and VAT at CNY10400-10500/ton ($1302-1314/ton without VAT)

A packaging film producer reported that he is not planning to purchase over the short term as they are already operating at low rates of around 60%. "Plus, we are not certain of the future market direction amidst comfortable supply levels," he comments. The converter said that some small discounts are obtainable in return of firm bids even though distributors raised their prices by CNY50-100/ton on the back of the higher energy and futures market prices, according to him.
