Domestic PP, PE prices announced higher to Indonesia

Domestic PP and PE producers in Indonesia have begun the week with new price increase amounts based on rising import levels as support for their price hike targets.  The producers commented that their new offers are encountering some resistance from the converters' side as buyers now claim that domestic offers are not attractive when compared with import prices.  However, the producers added that they have already managed to conclude a few deals with their regular customers.

In the PP market, domestic offers were announced with price increases of $20/ton when compared with the previous week, bringing new offers for domestic material to $1300/ton FD Indonesia, cash for homo-PP injection and raffia and to $1340-1360/ton with the same terms for PP film. 

In the PE market, domestic offers were announced $10/ton higher than the previous week, bringing new offers for domestic material to $1350/ton for LLDPE film, $1330/ton for HDPE film and yarn, $1270/ton for HDPE blow moulding, $1310/ton for HDPE injection and $1360/ton for HDPE pipe (PE 100), all on an FD Indonesia, cash basis.
