Siegling designs modular belt for hygiene-sensitive area

Siegling - the manufacturers of conveyor and processing belts - has designed the Series 6 ProLink modular belt range, especially for hygiene-sensitive areas. The sprockets and engagement points in the module are designed so that they can be easily rinsed through, thus, eliminating chances of micro-organism growth. At the same, time the 8 mm thick Series 6 ProLink module, with its unusually thick eyelet is particularly incision-resistant and robust. The standard modular width of the system is 400 mm. This is also important for hygiene because wide modules mean few connecting points, thus, less gap between two modules per belt. This in turn offers the benefits of few dirt traps on the conveyor belt. The materials used in Series 6 (polyacetal and polyethylene) comply with the unique Siegling HACCP quality standard. The modules provide confirmed preventative protection from microbial decomposition. At the same time they also do not contain any biocides that might be unsafe for food products.
