Dow India and Royal Castor Products unite for research and innovation

Dow Chemical International Pvt Ltd and the Gujarat-based Royal Castor Products Ltd have signed a commitment to conduct research in sustainable bio-based products&solutions using castor oil during the recently concluded ' Vibrant Gujarat' expo. The commitment was signed by Dr Ramesh Ramachandran, president&CEO, Dow Chemical International Pvt Ltd, and Haresh Vyas, director, Royal Castor Products Ltd.

Speaking on the occasion, Ramachandran said, "Sustainable solutions are key to the long term success of chemical industry and our agreement with Royal Castor is an excellent initiative in this regard. By combining the expertise of the foremost manufacturers and exporters of castor oil derivatives with Dow's research and development techniques, we can set a high target towards developing sustainable and environmentally-friendly products in the future."

Vyas said, "We are excited to be associated with Dow to work on this project. Dow's best-in-class research and development techniques will help us to come up with innovative solutions and products in castor oil derivatives.  We are confident that together we shall be able to provide major breakthroughs in the chemical industry of India."

Castor oil is a natural oil obtained from the seed of the castor plant. It has numerous applications in lubricants,  cosmetics&pharmaceuticals and manufacturing industries.
