Shanghai, November 3 (Gasgoo.com) SAIC has completed its new-energy industrial chain and expects to start production of its new-energy vehicles in 2010, Xinhua News reported today."Our related core technologies of auto parts have successfully broken the international hybrid vehicle barriers," a spokesman of SAIC said.
Reportedly, SAIC will provide over 1,000 new-energy vehicles to World Expo 2010 in Shanghai, including pure electric cars, fuel battery cars, super-capacitor and hybrid vehicles.
"We may seek battery supplies from the outside and the talks with BYD and overseas suppliers are going on. At the same time, some new-energy vehicles with this battery are under testing. We don't rule out the possibility of holding shares with overseas battery companies"the SAIC spokesman said.
