Hyundai Kia ranked No.4 worldwide in H1

Hyundai Kia surpassed Ford and ranked fourth in global auto sales in the first half of 2009. Toyota was ranked No.1, followed by GM and Volkswagen.

Total sales of Hyundai Kia cars in the first six months of the year reached 2,153,000 units. Benefiting from the fast-growing Chinese market, the company has sold one-sixth of its vehicles, or 350,000 units in China, an increase of 50 percent.

The Chinese market has become the biggest market for Volkswagen and second-largest for GM.
