Maserrati held the "Design Driven" contest with Architectural Digest looking for the best-designed garage. They announced the winner last week.

The contest was divided into two categories: Existing and Concept. Contestants were asked to submit a garage design that had uniqueness, individuality, one or more noted architectural elements and a complementary environment for a Maserati.

The winning garages will be featured in a special advertising section of Architectural Digest's October issue. The winners were Holger Schubert's existing Los Angeles garage, and the concept design of Chris Altman, of Stubbs Muldrow Herin Architects of South Carolina.

Holger Schubert's existing Los Angeles garage is more like a living room where you park your car. The winning concept garage has three turntables that can place the cars in three different positions.
