Beijing Hyundai to show new Sonata in Shanghai

Shanghai, April 13 (Gasgoo.com) Beijing Hyundai will showcase a face-lift of Sonata model at the 2009 Shanghai auto show this month, Beijing News reported today.

The new Sonata model, code-named BT01 inside Beijing Hyundai, was revamped to cater to Chinese consumers based on EF Sonata, a model introduced by the carmaker in 2004.

BT01 was developed by the technical centre under Beijing Hyundai, with its design and most of R&D tests completed in China, sources said. The BT01 is likely to come under Hyundai brand, said a senior official from Beijing Hyundai.
