Jun. 2, 2010 (China Knowledge) - U.S. online marketplace eBay Inc recently entered into an international tri-lateral agreement with China Post, the country's official postal service, and the United States Postal Service to provide shipping procedures for Chinese vendors, the Shanghai Daily reported.
The new shipping procedures provide Chinese vendors to sell to American customers easier.
"The collaboration will make the most of the advantages of the three while helping expand eBay's profits," said Jeff Liao, CEO for eBay's Greater China and head of eBay's Asia-Pacific cross-border trade.
eBay also launched an online tracking system with China Post Express & Logistics Corp, a unit of China Post. The partnership creates a new shipping platform for international tracking and delivery of lightweight goods ordered by consumers in the US from eBay sellers in China.
