Apr. 15, 2010 (China Knowledge) - China Eastern Airlines Co Ltd<600115><0670><CEA>, the country's third-largest carrier, may cut ticket prices by up to 20% on flights across the Taiwan Strait, the Commercial Times reported yesterday, citing an unnamed company executive as saying. Round-trip tickets for flights from Taiwan's Taoyuan County to Shanghai will decrease in price to RMB 2,000 from RMB 2,500, the Taiwan-based newspaper said. China Airlines Ltd, the largest carrier in Taiwan in terms of revenue, last week announced a 20% reduction in the price of economy-class tickets for direct flights to Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
