Apr. 15, 2010 (China Knowledge) - China Coal Energy Co Ltd<601898><1898>, the country's second-largest coal miner by revenue, yesterday said that its coal output was 10.88 million metric tons in March, 53% more than a year earlier, sources reported. The output of coking coal was 80,000 tons last month, down 43% year on year. Last month, the company's total coal sales volume increased 67% from a year earlier to 10.63 million tons. In February, the company produced 9.94 million tons of raw coal, 35% more than in February of 2009, while the output of coking coal during the month surged 63% year on year to 260,000 tons. Last month, China Coal Energy and PetroChina<601857><0857><PTR>, the national top oil producer, singed a framework agreement to extend cooperation on product supply and material procurement, according to an earlier report from China Knowledge.
