Daimler Northeast Asia Ltd began recalling 600 units of its trucks in China April 9.
Due to the damage of the wiring hardness, 65 imported Axor 944s made between January 2004 and December 2005 are on the recall list. The rust may cause damage and short circuit the starter wiring harness and could lead to a fire risk. The company will add a shield over the wiring harness under the rear cover of the starter.
Other recalled vehicles are the Actros 930 - 940, Atego 970 – 976 and Axor 944, 950.5 – 952.5 produced between January 1 and July 6, 2009, as the sealed caps are missing on the driving recorder. The automaker will add the sealed caps free of charge for 609 recalled truck units.
