Mar. 26, 2010 (China Knowledge) - U.S.-based Dell Inc expects its China sales to be about US$5 billion this year, CEO Michael Dell said Wednesday, Reuters reported. The world's No. 3 PC maker plans to spend US$25 billion this year in deals with Chinese suppliers and partners, whereas it spent US$23 billion in 2008 and US$29 billion last year, Dell said. The company, which recently launched several new server and storage products in China, is interested in the healthcare and education sectors, Dell said. Dell's sales grew 81% in the fourth quarter of 2009 in China, helped by a raft of government incentives to spur consumption. The company expects to achieve double-digit growth in sales this year, China Knowledge reported earlier. China is Dell's second-largest market. Copyright © 2009 www.chinaknowledge.com |
