Feb. 8, 2010 (China Knowledge) - Ford Motor Co, the world's fifth-largest auto maker in terms of vehicle sales worldwide, said that its joint venture with Chongqing Changan Automobile Co<000625><200625> sold 30,759 passenger cars in January, representing a robust growth of 128% from a year ago. Ford attributed the Changan JV's record sales to the growing demand for its new models Fiesta and Focus. Nigel Harris, general manager of Changan Ford Sales Co, said that the strong sales momentum will last thanks to demand from Chinese consumers.
