Nov. 20, 2009 (China Knowledge) - China has become the second-largest market in the world for Dell Inc, and the firm is looking for a bright future in this market, said Amit Midha, president of Dell Greater China, sources reported. China is a very important market for Dell, and the business operations in this market maintain strong growth, added Midha. The stimulus package launched by the Chinese government boosted the market's growth as well as consumption. Growing investment and demand for integrated technology have also positively impacted Dell's business performance in the market, noted Midha. Dell's shipment growth in China was three times more than the average growth of its counterparts in the country last year, especially in server, data center and storage business. The Chinese market will become the largest PC market globally in 2015, estimates the PC maker. The firm's net income for the third quarter of this year was US$337 million, down 54% year on year.
