Electric sanitation vehicles on Beijing streets next year

Small household garbage collection vehicles and food waste collection vehicles powered by electricity will be driven in the streets of the Chinese capital next year, the Beijing government and Beijing Municipal Commission of City Administration said in a conference Thursday.
The conference pointed the city should promote the use of electric vehicles in the environment and sanitation industry, finish the research and development of related electric vehicles, finalize where the charging station of the electric vehicles should be built, and develop the preparation work for the development of electric vehicles in Beijing.
