Nov. 13, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Nokia Corp, the world's largest handset manufacturer, said on Wednesday that it has launched three new CDMA mobile phones for the Chinese market to boost its leadership in the CDMA market, sources reported. The three new CDMA phones are Nokia 6316s, Nokia 3806 and Nokia 1506. The Nokia 1506 will be available in China at the end of 2009, while the Nokia 6316s and the Nokia 3806 will be available during the first quarter of 2010. The Nokia 6316s brings exciting 3G services, including the GPS, to life for Chinese users, said David Tang, vice president of Nokia China, adding that this is yet another success resulting from its "close relationship" with China Telecom Corp Ltd<0728><CHA>, the nation's largest fixed-line operator. Last month, Nokia unveiled its first handset based on China's home-grown TD-SCDMA technology in its Beijing product development center. The Nokia 6788 handset is customized for high-end users who are signed up with China Mobile Ltd<0941><CHL>, the country's largest telecom carrier, and will become available by the end of this year.
