Hang Seng Index opens 471 points lower on Thu

Oct. 29, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Hong Kong stocks fell on Thursday morning, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index opening 471 points lower at 21,290. The Hang Seng China Enterprise Index, which tracks the overall performance of 43 mainland Chinese state-owned enterprises on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, opened 332 points lower at 12,499. China Eastern Airlines Co Ltd<600115><0670><CEA> decreased 1.33% from the previous closing to HK$2.23. China Southern Airlines Ltd<600029><1055><ZNH> fell 1.23% and opened at HK$2.4.
