Hang Seng Index opens 165 points lower on Wed

Oct. 28, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Hong Kong stocks fell on Wednesday morning, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index opening 165 points lower at 22,004.55. The Hang Seng China Enterprise Index, which tracks the overall performance of 43 mainland Chinese state-owned enterprises on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, opened 109 points lower at 13,036.15. China Life Insurance<601628><2628><LFC> decreased 0.79% from the previous closing to HK$37.65. Ping An Insurance<601318><2318> fell 0.42% and opened at HK$71.1.
