Hang Seng Index opens 572 points lower on Tue

Oct. 27, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Hong Kong stocks fell on Tuesday morning, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index opening 572 points lower at 22,016.79. The Hang Seng China Enterprise Index, which tracks the overall performance of 43 mainland Chinese state-owned enterprises on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, opened 305 points lower at 13,010.72. China Shipping Development Co Ltd<600026><1138> decreased 0.17% from the previous closing to HK$11.64. China COSCO Holdings Co Ltd<601919><1919> fell 3.15% and opened at HK$10.44.
