Car crash kills 5
Published: 22 Oct 2009 17:02:01 PSTFive people died when a pick-up truck collided with a motor-tricycle early on Thursday in East China' s Zhejiang Province, according to local government sources.
The accident took place at about 3:07 am on a section of the Ningbo-Xiangshan Highway when the truck hit the tricycle, which was parked in the slow lane.
The tricycle driver and four passengers, who were changing a tire, died at the scene, a Ningbo city traffic police official said.
The truck driver was detained by police. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
