Oct. 22, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Lenovo Group Ltd<0992><LNVGY>, the world's fourth-largest PC manufacturer, recently revealed that the cheap cloud-computing terminal is expected to help the firm consolidate its commercial business, which has been negatively impacted during the global financial crisis, sources reported.

The firm's third quarter results will be disclosed on Nov. 15. The firm is expected to return to profit and end three consecutive quarters of losses.

Lenovo's commercial business is tailored to corporate clients, whose IT needs will increase as the global economy recovers. Lenovo's cloud-computing terminals will help corporate clients save on IT costs.

A survey indicated that 60% of clients would buy terminals for RMB 500, said a senior executive of the firm, adding that Lenovo will provide tailored cloud-computing terminals reflecting current technological capabilities.

The move shows that Lenovo is gradually switching its focus back to corporate clients now that the economy is warming up. Lenovo suffered big losses in corporate IT procurement due to the global financial crisis. However, there is strong growth potential among corporate clients now, noted some analysts.
