Oct. 21, 2009 (China Knowledge) - ZTE Corp<000063><0763>, a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions in China, recently opened a Long Term Evolution lab at its U.S. headquarters in Richardson, Texas. The LTE lab will conduct tests of its dual-mode CDMA-LTE platform, which currently employs CDMA and LTE bands and also can be customized for other bands, including a multi-mode GSM/UMTS/LTE platform, the company said in a statement yesterday. The lab is designed and has been built in accordance with international tier one operator test requirements, and is equipped to test several features including throughput, latency, and coverage. Using the platform, ZTE can demonstrate FTP downloading rate up to 52 Mbps at 10 MHz bandwidth and conduct CDMA voice service and LTD HD (High Definition) video demonstration simultaneously.
