China's average gross domestic product (GDP) growth in the first three quarters of this year will remain above 7 percent, and the overall 8 percent growth target for the year will be met, Xiong Bilin, deputy director general of the Industry Department of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) disclosed Monday.
The National Bureau of Statistics of China (NBS) is due to release the quarterly economic data on Thursday.
China's GDP rose 6.1 percent in the first quarter, and jumped to 7.9 percent in the second.
