BYD sets new sales record in September

BYD sold 44,070 vehicles in September, up 88 percent from a year earlier, according to the Beijing Times.

Last month, 27,350 units of the F3 and 11,001 units of the F0 models were sold last month. BYD sold 5,709 units of the mid-to-high-end sedan F6.

The company was ranked the leader in terms of growth among Chinese automakers in the first half of 2009. BYD sold 176,795 vehicles during the first six months, a staggering 176 percent year-on-year, which was 110 percent higher than the industry growth.
