SAIC鈥檚 MG to stop production for 6 months

MG Motor owned by Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation will halt production of its TF sports car for six months, due to modest sales of only 265 units during the first nine months of this year.
Production will resume in March 2010.
About 20 staff are expected to be laid off at MG’s Longbridge plant in Birmingham, UK.
