Oct. 9, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Taiwan-based Foxconn Technology Group will reportedly be the manufacturer of Apple Inc's tablet PCs, which will supposedly be available in the market in the first quarter of next year. Foxconn is likely to ship between 300,000 and 400,000 of the Apple tablet PCs, which will be equipped with 10.6-in displays supplied by Foxconn subsidiary Innolux Display. Reportedly, Apple's tablet PC will have e-book functions as well as an integrated music player. It is expected that the new tablet PC will feature long battery life, fast internet connectivity and a convenient interface. It is rumored that Apple began to develop the tablet PC as early as 2003. In the past, Foxconn has manufactured Apple products such as the iPhone, the iPod and the Mac.
