Oct. 8, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Hong Kong stocks rose on Thursday morning with the benchmark Hang Seng Index increasing 0.39% to end the morning session at 21,323.54 points, with mainboard turnover standing at HK$31.06 billion. The Hang Seng China Enterprise Index, which tracks the overall performance of 43 Chinese mainland state-owned enterprises on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, added 57.75 points to 12,377.17 points. Market heavyweight HSBC Holdings Plc<0005><HBC>, which accounts for the largest weighting for the Hang Seng Index, grew 0.63% to HK$88.00. Four new stocks debuted on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange today. Ausnutria Dairy Corp<1717> rose to HK$5.06 at midday, representing a 21.93% premium over its IPO price. China Vanadium Titano-Magnetite Mining Co<0893> grew 1.4% to HK$3.62, Yingde Gases<2168> surged 10.70% to HK$7.86. Jiangchen International<8305> dropped 26% to end the morning session at HK$0.74.
