Sep. 22, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Capital Research and Management Co, an investment arm of U.S.-based Capital Group, has reduced its shareholding in Hongkong Electric Holdings Ltd<0006> to 7.98% from the previous 8.06%, according to the bourse operator Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing<0388>. Information from HKEx showed that Capital Research and Management on Sept. 17 sold 1.64 million shares of Hongkong Electric for HK$70 million. The average share price of the transaction was HK$42.72 per share. Hongkong Electric and its subsidiaries are mainly engaged in the generation and supply of electricity.
