Sep. 3, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Forbes Asia yesterday announced it will partner with Invest Hong Kong for the 2009 "Fabulous 50" Award Ceremony and Dinner, an event that honors the best performers among Asia-Pacific's biggest companies. Invest Hong Kong, the department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government responsible for attracting and facilitating investment in the city, will be the Host Sponsor of the event, which is scheduled to be held in the city on Dec. 3, 2009. Hong Kong, a vibrant business centre with one of the most tax-friendly regimes globally, is an ideal location to gather captains of industries from around the region, said William Adamopoulos, president and publisher of Forbes Asia. The magazine previously worked with Invest Hong Kong for the Forbes Global CEO Conference and the Forbes Asia "Best Under A Billion" Award Ceremony and Dinner. The upcoming 2009 "Fabulous 50" event, which will gather Asia's top business leaders, will reinforce Hong Kong's position as Asia'a premier business and financial center, said Simon Galpin, director-general of investment promotion at Invest Hong Kong. Forbes Asia will release the 2009 "Fabulous 50" list in the Oct. 5 issue. Companies eligible for inclusion in the list are those that meet criteria such as revenue or market capitalization of at least US$5 billion and five years of operating profitability and return on equity.
