Haima's new energy vehicles to come out in 2011

Published: 12 Aug 2009 18:02:01 PST

Haima Automobile plans to launch electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles in 2011. Coming from its Shanghai research center, the new energy cars are likely to follow the Fstar brand, according to the company.

Haima Me, an energy-saving electric concept vehicle, was on display in April. It uses lithium manganese batteries, which only takes four to five hours to charge. Mpe is another new concept car, which the company claims has good performance on accelerating and driving up slopes.

The company has started the research and development of new energy vehicles since 2005. The Haima 3 and M1, both electric cars, were previously on display in 2007 and 2008 respectively.
