Aug. 12, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Hong Kong stocks fell on Wednesday morning, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index opening 348 points lower at 20,725. The Hang Seng China Enterprise Index, which tracks the overall performance of 43 mainland Chinese state-owned enterprises on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, opened 221 points lower at 11,767. Zijin Mining Group Co Ltd<601899><2899> fell 2.77% and opened at HK$7.03. Zhaojin Mining Industry Co Ltd<1818> decreased 1.79% from the previous closing to HK$12.06.
