Aug. 11, 2009 (China Knowledge) - U.S.-based financial holding company JPMorgan Chase & Co recently reduced its shareholding in China Merchants Bank<600036><3968> to 12.97% from the previous 13.13%, according to the bourse operator Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing<0388>. Information from the HKEx showed that JPMorgan sold 5.64 million H shares of the Chinese lender on Aug. 5 for US$102.5 million. The average share price of the transaction was US$18.17 per share.
