China exported only 22,400 vehicles last month, down 26.76 percent compared with June and a 61.19 percent decline from a year earlier, according to the latest statistics released Monday by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
From January to July, China exported 164,800 units in total, a 60.3 percent decline year-on-year.
Top executives of some Chinese auto companies said that the Chinese vehicle-export sector is greatly affected by the global financial crisis and some foreign countries are setting obstacles to prevent or limit imports of vehicles made in China.
