NBS adjusts plan of releasing major economic statistics

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) will simultaneously release major national economic indicators, including industrial output, fixed-asset investment, CPI and PPI in order to meet the public's need to keep abreast of the country's latest national economic development, according to an announcement by the NBS Monday.

From August, the NBS will hold a press confernce each month, on top of quarterly and yearly ones, to release major economic indexes together on the 11th of each month. If the day falls on an official holiday, the announcement will be postponed to a later date.

The scheduled press conference to release July's CPI and PPI will be announced Tuesday.
