Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund Temasek is in talks with BOC International, the Hong Kong-based investment banking arm of Bank of China, to launch a $1 billion to $2 billion investment fund for infrastructure projects in China, sources said yesterday.
Temasek and BOC will set up a joint venture to manage the fund, which will seek investment opportunities from the government’s 4 trillion yuan ($585.5 billion) stimulus package launched late last year, according to the sources.
