Jul. 9, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Dalian Port Group, the parent of Dalian Port (PDA) Co Ltd<2880>, saw its throughput rose 11.1% year on year to 100.09 million tons in the first half of this year, sources reported. Dalian Port handled 2.08 million TEUs in the first six months of 2009, down 1.6% compared with a year ago. In June, Dalian Port's throughput increased 14.2% year on year to 18.46 million tons. Dalian Port handled 3.09 million tons of iron ore last month, 120.7% more than last year, and handled 829,000 tons of refined oil and 527,000 tons of grain, up 11.6% and 20.3% from a year earlier, respectively.
