Jul. 3, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Tenpay, an online payment service operated by China's Tencent Holdings Ltd<0700>, recently reached a cooperation agreement with China Eastern Airlines Ltd<600115><0670><CEA>, the country's third-largest carrier, sources reported. Under the agreement, China Eastern's customers will be able to use Tenpay's convenient online platform to buy air tickets and perform related transactions. China Eastern this year aims to further develop its information system and e-commerce platform, said a company executive. Tenpay earlier also formed partnerships with Hainan Airlines Co Ltd<600221><900945>, Xiaman Airlines Co Ltd, Shenzhen Airlines Ltd, Spring Airlines, Shandong Airlines Co Ltd<200152> and China Southern Airlines Ltd<600029><1055><ZNH>. Tenpay is the exclusive online payment provider for Tencent Holdings, a group whose services include instant messaging, gaming, blogs, an online marketplace called Paipai, and various wireless value-added services under the "QQ" brand.
