Jul. 3, 2009 (China Knowledge) - China's Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co Ltd (JAC)<600418>, a leading bus chassis manufacturer, plans to build a plant at the Acu port complex in Rio de Janeiro State, the Rio state government Thursday said in a statement, Dow Jones Newswires reported. JAC is based in Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province, and produces 450,000 vehicles per year. JAC earlier said it expected its net profit for the first half of fiscal 2009 to slump more than 50% from a year earlier. The auto maker last year sold 36,305 business vehicles, 108,074 light trucks, 21,442 chassis, 10,786 heavy-duty trucks, 10,251 Rein sports recreation vehicles and 11,683 cars. The Rio state government on Wednesday said China's Wuhan Iron & Steel Co Ltd (Wisco)<600005> would build a steel mill at the Greenfield site in the northern part of Rio de Janeiro State.
