Huang Miaozi, one of Chinese art masters of our time, is hosting his retrospective exhibition at the Suzhou Museum, offering those attending a selection of works spanning his long and distinguished career.
Born in 1913 in the city of Zhongshan, Guangdong Province, Huang Miaozi is widely known for his achievements in illustration, calligraphy and writing.
He is also a highly respected art critic, publishing an impressive catalog of books and reviews, each having a far-reaching influence on the Chinese art world.

The 5th Shanghai Arts Exhibition, the biennial art festival which has earned a high reputation in Chinese art circles ever since its start in 2001, is being held at the Shanghai Art Museum.
More than 400 works, all selected from both established and upcoming young artists from across the country, are displayed.
Exhibits include oil paintings, watercolors, installation art and sculptures, providing a visual banquet for the city's art lovers.

Looking to promote artistic exchange between countries, the Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art is hosing an exhibition of works by art students from France, Malaysia and China.
More than 600 pieces of art, mainly comprised of paintings, interior design displays and multi-media animation are being shown, each reflecting a unique view of modern life from different parts of the world.
The exhibition also aims at providing a platform for young artists, while at the same time promoting art education across the globe.
