Wu Di's first solo exhibition, titled Ameise, Ameise, serves as an expression of her “willingness to suffer for happiness” in a world of violence through contemporary art. Although the word “ameise” is German for “ant”, the relevance of its meaning is just one of many questions Wu Di wishes to provoke in us about her constant pursuit of a final answer to life's meaning. The inspiration and subject matter in her work is diverse, ranging from happiness to violence, humans to animals.

The exhibition will show more than 30 pieces created within a 5-year period (2003-2009), including multi-media, installation and sculpture.
